Kunst Om 8

29th of October at night I'll be drawing live at the oldest library of Antwerp,"Erfgoedbibliotheek", together with Sam De Buysscher, Reinhart Croon & Conz.

Three artists that are all better than me. Gotta start somewhere and learn from the great :).

There will be music and other art as well. The theme of the evening is " music, movies, fashion & comics from the 1950's ".

Lambermontmartre July 2009 - #1

Lambermontmartre art market in Antwerp was a huge success. Sunny weather, lots of nice people and friends ( thanks so much ! ) and good music. My artist colleague Matson's sunglasses burnt into his face. We presented our first comic strip booklet together: Matson & Jango. We'll be there again in September.

This is one of the pieces I made for the exhibition. Inspired by my toilet and the city of Atlantis. Acryl on Canvas. 22 x 32 cm. Post production in ink and coloured marker.

Weird Festival Illustrations (for Vice Magazine)

They called me yesterday because they needed 5 illustrations urgently, for today. So tonight I made these for an article in Vice Magazine about weird festivals around the globe. It was fun to do, but it's all a lot easier if you're not ill. Everything hurts, so Jango Comix will be for later, folks.

Thanks, Henry Eudy !

Some things are just too fun. Like getting fun american comics in your (real) mailbox. I'm doing a trade with American comic strip artist Henry Eudy. He sent me a bunch of his comics and I'll send him some of mine. And he added 3 handdrawn/painted limited cards. What a great fella.
