THE VOICE MACHINE (ANIMATION ON TV)
After my live drawing on The Voice recently I was asked again to make a giant machine to be animated and shown during a performance of jury member Bent van Looy's team. This job was totally up my alley and it was superfun to see my work that big.

ALTERNATIVE PRESS LONDON (ZINE FEST)
My girlfriend and I had a great time last week at the Alternative Press Takeover zine fest in East London. Met loads of nice strangers and friends: awesome people like lo fi indie rock musician Joey Fourr, funny comic strip girls Lizz Lunney and Philippa Rice.
Globetrotting comic strip artist Steven Kraan and his girlfriend Willemien were so nice to have us over in Bedford. Great trip!
Here's our table. Yep, I drew eyes on my glasses.
Lizz Lunney in the middle.
Petticoat Lane.
Some desk doodling inspired by our trip.
Old mural in Bedford. Almost makes me want to start smoking. So cool!

THE CLOUD EATER ( BIG DRAWING )
I made a big piece for the great indie game festival "Free to Play" at the designcenter in Antwerp. I'm part of the group exhibition, but next to that there's of course loads of games to play on homemade arcades and other machines, a pixel wall, game-related fashion, loads of talks, game workshops and chiptune deejays.
Had loads of fun making this. Haven't done that much shading in a long time. Ink + watercolours. 50x70cm.

THE VOICE BEDROOM (LIVE PERFORMANCE ON TV)
I was asked to draw a bedroom live on tv on a giant piece of paper for jury member and musician Bent Van Looy's candidate Demi on the Flemish version of the popular tv show The Voice. Obviously a very basic drawing, but it was exciting to pull it off in less than 2 minutes live on tv with only one test the day before (that didn't work out). I eventually used liquid acrylics. Really fun experience.

JANGODOODLES #4 - SKETCHBOOK GALORE
Most of what I draw are doodles and ideas in my sketchbooks. In the past I didn't really post anything from my "treasure box of ideas", because I thought it wasn't good enough or uninteresting. But since I really love looking at other people's sketchbooks, I'm gonna start doing it more often. It might give some more insight in the ways I work.

USE-IT CROWD FUNDING ( ANIMATION )
I made a silly animated video to support the crowd funding action of Use-It to make a smartphone app. They are a non-profit organization that makes great free alternative city maps for young travellers. It's a bunch of supernice enthusiast folks, so if you ever used a Use-It city map please consider donating a few bucks.

SAN CAROL ( VINYL RECORD COVER )
I made the vinyl cover artwork for musician San Carol from Paris. His synthpop-styled debut album "La Main Invisible" reminds me a bit of 80's bands like Devo and Oingo Boingo. Check it out here !

SLØW ( JANGTON FILM POSTER SHOW )

SLØW.
The slowest movie ever made. A staggering 14 hours of Scandinavian arthouse film beauty about the struggle of the couple Björn and Lila who slowly seem to lose touch with reality. After their marriage and buying the barn they always wanted a discussion about the interior design leads to an existential crisis. How did they get there ? Why did they get there ? Who are they ? Why do they live on a floating ball in space called earth ?
This experimental movie is definitely not for the mainstream viewer, but for the lovers of Scandinavian storytelling and sufferers of insomnia this is a must see. To find the perfect beautiful Swedish landscape setting the directors went to that place where people dump all their christmas trees every year.
Part of the Film Poster exhibition "The Jangton Brothers". A growing duo-show concept together with illustrator Anton van Steelandt about two mysterious Belgian directors that remained unknown through their career. For this first show we present a selection of giant film posters.
Exhibition running in Mekanik Strip, Antwerp till 2 november. Check it out and let us know what you think !

After the movie the directors still lived for a while in the expensive temple set.

BOKTOR MAGAZINE (ILLUSTRATION)
The fantastic and creative folks of BOKTOR MAGAZINE came up with a super fun idea. For issue #2 of their magazine they invented a wacky story about a traveling island governed by boy scouts. They asked a number of artists to help shape what it would look like. I had to handle the part about mail the island would receive. More info on their website, with animations and all !
